I'd guess a garden variety I/O woukd make a better wakeboard boat than a ski boat would. A ski boat us the oposite of a wake boat. A ski boat is designed to keave smooth water behind it.
So, to update my own old thread . . .
The boat has shifted just fine since the new shift cable was installed last year until this past Saturday. It would go in an out of reverse just fine but not forward. It would take 2 or 3 attempts at moving the lever forward for it to go into gear. This...
It must have been the IAC. A replacement from NAPA cured the beeps. It's weird because the boat always did start and idle just fine. I never had to bump the throttle or anything else to get it to start and idel.
I finally pulled up the removeable floor section to get a good look at tbe drain. The housing had a small crack in the bottom. I applied some JB Weld. We were on the lake for 6 hours yesterday and my bilge stayed dry.
Last Sunday after boating for a few hours my boat started giving what I thought were intermittent beeps. All gauges, fluids, and functions were fine so I unplugged the beeper and enjoyed a few more hours of boating.
This evening I hooked the beeper back up and put the boat on muffs in the...
When I change my fuel/water separater every spring I dump it in a glass jar and watch to see if there's any water. There never is.
1/4 cup seems like a lot.
I too think you'll be over. Also, check the manual but mist tow ratings assume an empty tow vehicle. And passenger and cargo weight subtracts from the tow rating.
From your pictures I think what you had was the batteries in series for 24 volts and then a dead short thru your switch set to both. This may have damaged the switch. Depending on which battery is which you may have applied reversed polarity to your boat's wiring when you moved the switch thru...
I don't ski but my sister does. She skied behind a Yamaha jet after always being behind prop boats. She didn't like it. Saud the water felt "soft" like it wasn't as bouant. I'm guessing it was the areation.
Your current is flowing to the motor somehow. Could be steering linkage, mounting brackets, shift cables, fuel line, etc. Hook up the proper negative like you intended.
I have a 2004 Tennessee tandem axle galvanized boat trailer with 3,500 pound axles and drum surge brakes on the rear axle. Under normal conditions there is about 6,000 pounds on the axles. Round trip from the house to the lake and back is 200 miles. I probably do that about 10 to 12 times a...
Okay, I guess there is a difference in an O ring and a washer. I never thought much about it. Anyway, it's whatever circular rubber piece comes with the plug. I am wondering if maybe one got stuck on the hole when I removed the plug and I'm trying to screw the new one in and have two.
Maybe this...
I have a 2004 Rinker 232 Captiva BR with a Mercrusier 350 Mag and B3 outdrive. It has the single point drain system with 2 blue plugs on the raw water pump, one on the thermostat housing, and one at the bottom right of the engine where all the drain hoses come together in one ball shaped...
A mini can be a 4,000 pound machine, a 10,000 pound machine, or larger. They are pretty easy to operate. They are great for digging ditches and holes. They are pretty useless for making or maintaining roads.
