How much water is too much in water seperator

1/4 cup possibly little less of water came out of recor clear cup water seperator
How much is too much ?

any free water in the filter is too much, means you have a lot more in the tank.
drain completely and clean the tank of all water and other debris.

When I change my fuel/water separater every spring I dump it in a glass jar and watch to see if there's any water. There never is.
1/4 cup seems like a lot.

I burn 1,000 to 1,500 gallons a year. Get a teaspoon or two at best.
