    Guys, this is a 14 foot hand- built wooden boat with a transom that is about 3.5- 4 ft wide and is tiller steer. If it was a tinny, it would be a 14' row boat. Not a wider aluminum boat with a console.

    your mechanic is an idiot. there is the 1990 and older with the 153 tooth flywheel and the 1991 and later with the 168 tooth flywheel. the mounting patterns on the flywheel housing is the same for all years which is the SBC bolt pattern.

    the cylinder heads are standard 118cc open chambers. the pistons look to be 20 to 30 cc domes. assuming a .030 overbore. the compression ratio is in the 9.6-10.5 range. which is pushing it with iron heads unless you run high octane.
