    Correct Setting For OMC Tach?

    Have an '83 Johnson 140 with OMC tachometer of around the same vintage. Was told (5) is the correct setting for the switch on the back of the tach. This is a fairly new ride for me so I could be wrong, but I think it reads a lil low? Can anyone confirm the correct setting? Thanks!

    '83 Johnson 140, starving for fuel top end?

    Carbs just 'semi' professionally rebuilt. Idle & midrange is fine but just when ya start really hooking up? Pfft! Back off the throttle a lil'n everything's good again. Almost like it has a rev limiter though I'm relatively sure it doesn't. Ideas?
