    I used a variable speed buffer and a 4" stainless steel wire brush.. I put the stripper on and set the buffer on the lowest speed so it wouldn't fly everywhere.. If you or going to leave the hull naked, this may not be the best way..

    I have been making some progress on the transom.. I have all the holes drilled and the keyway cut. I used 2 coats of the WOG old timers sealer on each side and 4 on the edges. Then 2 more coats of the Helmsman spar urethane each side and 4 on the edges.. Just put a coat of Rustoleum gloss...

    I took some 2"x4"x8' and ran them over my jointer and made them nice an straight. Laid out were I needed to rout out the 3/16" depth on the transom. Setup my router with a straight cut bottom bit 3/4" dia. Put the transom piece on top of the flat side of the 2x4's and screwed it down to hold it...
