    setting rod caps

    1994 200 hp evinrude: my rod caps are about .002 wider than the rod that they attach to. Is this normal? will they match up better when they get torqued down to the 40-42 ft lb spec. I under stand that proper match up is critical.

    Is resleeving possible?

    Tore down 94 evinrude 200. Sleeve is gouged and cracked. I can see that some of the aluminum block behind the sleeve and below the exhaust port is cracked and broken away.     1994 Evinrude 200 hp 90 degree looper. 1) Engine started knocking and loosing power 2) No compression middle cylinder port side 3) Pulled head and found needle bearings embedded in top of piston and head, also deep score where piston apparently drug needle bearing from port to top of cylinder...
