The iboats forum moderators are excited to announce that at this time it appears the iboats forums posting pictures function is working once again. Though we cannot promise for how long, we're hoping for indefinitely.
I have this optimax 150 and am having issues with my temp Guage not working. I got the sensors but can't find them on the motor. Can someone point me in the direction
I dont remember but the exact temp but it was hot enough to make the buzzer come on. I shut it down immediately when it came on. Hoping for the best. It does start and run. I ended up rowing it back.
Turns out the impeller is fine. I replaced it anyway since I was in there and bought the part and kept the old one for emergency. Problem was actually the hose that goes from the gimbal housing through the transom popped off the gimbal housing. So I found that the pick up tube guide was burned...
The impeller is gone. No water is coming up from the transom connection when I run the boat for a few seconds. I have a new one coming tomorrow. I'm more or less just curious of why this happened so I can fix it once and avoid it happening again
So you think it was just an impeller failure? No...

It came with the drive. Sei stern drives. Not calender or meter. I've just been recording run time on my own. I have a break on procedure I have to follow from the engine builder as well as sei sterndrives
Everything was going great. About 5 hours on the engine and drive and I thing overheats on me. Shut it down right away don't think I caused major damage to the engine tho. So what the hell could this be. Everything is new except manifold and oil cooler for power steering. New water pump and...
OK so I went out on a hunch and adjusted the electric choke since that's about the only thing I haven't touched on this boat and the adjustment seems to have done the job. If it starts up again I'll check out the other things you guys suggested thanks. Ide still like to know what FA means if...
Also not sure if I mentioned it but I was having bigger problems before I adjusted the float. Maybe I over adjusted it? There were 2 measurements in the manual but I couldn't get them both lined up at the same time. When I bent it it would throw off the other measurement
I have a 99 bayliner with a 5.0 merc alpha 1 gen 2. It has a 2 barrel Sierra carb. The engine is rebuilt only about 3 or 4 hours on it so far. Also rebuilt the carb. I finally got it running right after setting the float height in the carb and now ot runs great on the first start up. No issues...
I actually made a template today. Idk how good it will work but I'm going to give it a go. I have the back rest but this is one of those seat cushions that pull out and connect to engine cover to make a bed. If it doesn't work out I made just change the entire seating arrangement
Not sure if I'm posting in the right section but I have a 2000 bayliner capri 2152 cuddy cabin. I had the entire boat gutted for a year while I fixed the bilge and stringers and put new engine and drive. During this process I some how lost my port and starboard rear seats. I can't seem to find...
My brother was losing his mind over me calling it a solenoid lol. He says it's a relay. I personally don't care what it's called as long as I get it working
Boat is is 2000 but it's on its 4th engine and I have no idea if it's what actually came with from the factory. GM 5.0l mercruiser alpha 1 gen 2. Only wire diagrams that seem to match the harness is the 2004 engine diagrams
