What unusual things does your pet do that makes you chuckle?

Meet Buddy, my soon-to-be two year old domestic longhair cat... He does two things that make me chuckle. First, he insists on beginning every morning with a hop into my lap to "chew" (I think it's a nursing thing) on my right index finger. It's only my right index finger, too. I've offered...

VHF Transmit indicator says it's working, but is it?

I admit having zero electrical experience or acumen and also must admit to delay in determining this apparent fault in my VHF. Since acquiring the boat I have monitored channel 22 for traffic but never actually performed a radio check until this past weekend. I can hear the traffic but, when I...

Thought I'd share my recently completed project

Had been a 20'x30' concrete patio with a skinny stairway leading to a single door going into the laundry...UGH... Now a completely screened atrium coming off the new double door from the dining room. Ceiling-mounted flat screen w/ dual zone surround sound (inside and outside), a few...

    Calling all Enrolled Agents

I received a call from someone saying they were with the IRS and they needed to verify some information. Every other time I have been in communication with them it has been in writing. Is this something the IRS would do?

    Inductive Volt Meter?????????????

My total knowledge of electrical issues will fit nicely under your fingernail. I have some wire locations that are impossible to get a standard lead to the connection to test for voltage. I know there are inductive timing lights. Is there such thing as an inductive meter:confused:

Started my morning routine as usual...go online, read the news feeds, check/reply to email, then surf iboats for a few minutes. As I had no real pressing plans, I took my time on iboats....reply here....reply there....and it's now 4:30 pm. Wow...I spent the whole day thoroughly entertained by...
