    Yeah, 44 year old boat, been in and out many times I’m guessing. Bolt only holds piece that covers flywheel. Original was probably lost at one time and fella replaced it with what he could find.

    Motor update. Got it all together, did a test start with engine on stand. Started right up! Initial timIng adjustment and she purrs like a lion. Will install in boat, recheck timing at proper idle and go catch some prawns! Thank you so much all!

    Oops….good eye! I forgot to mention that the clear line you see going line going from the pump to the “tank” is strictly there for a test run while motor is out of boat. It will go to a small gas can. Actual fuel line is to code. Great catch.

    I purchased the fitting at a store that specializes in fittings and hoses. I specified it was for fuel and he assured me it was the correct hose

    Got her done! $1 fitting and $4 of fuel rated line, little thread sealer on the fitting and … BOOM! Thanks fir all your help. Feel good knowing it’s done right!
