Check for 12 v at the cannon plug where the engine harness connects to the boat harness . sometimes the pins don’t make great contact and you have to open the male pin some to get contact. This plugs would have been disconnected to re,over the engine and thus was disturbed

this is the sticky on TBV trouble shooting - if you arent getting 12 v on the purple wire on the positive side of the coil, you need to trace it back from the ignition switch with a volt meter- also disconnect the shift interrupt switch to ensure it isnt killing the spark

make sure you get the idle speed fixed as that thunk is the dog clutch being hammered more than usual. You may also have issue coming out of gear at the higher speed as well. Bottom line dont leave it this way.
