Mornin' evrybody. Off to get some oil to fliush this motor. Is there a preferred grade to flush with. I would think a thinner grade like a OW20 or something would move through engine better. Thoughts? Ken

Ok. I guess I'll cut that hose off and pressure test from there. Looks like it rubbed through on the water pump belt. The previous owner repaired it with tape. Thats the story my customer is sticking too! Lol

I had a proper radiator test kit with a hand pump. Pump it up to 10lbs and I could see really small bubbles coming from under the tape. Took about 15 minutes to loose the 10 lbs. Ken

Ok, I've done a bit of exploring since we last talked. I've drained the oil and filter will screen the first oil change. Forgot to clean the pan on the milky one. When I pick up some oil and filters tomorrow, I will fill the engine and filter with oil, run for 30 seconds, with drive removed, and...

Just an update. Removed drive and everything looked good. Readjusted cables, took the switch out again and clean it up. Lubed everything. Seems to be working good now. Nowt sure what exactly the problem was.

Is there and order to check these different possibilities? Is it visual, or do I need to pressure test? I remember from years ago that acetone was used some how to find damage in exhaust. Would like a definitive diagnosis before we buy parts

Can I run a cheap automotive oil filter to flush the oil? How would i find one at the parts store? Ken

Oil level was increased. Did an oil change and it milked up again.

Port side was was kinda floppy and the other side was missing.

The cable was shifting fine. I did the impeller, all the bellows, water and oil lines. I did the shift cable because I was there. I guess I'll pull the drive and see what I did. Have done this job 5 or 6 times and never encountered this problem. Thanks for your help Ken
