    stupid question - trailer lights

I always run the ground directly to each light. I just did a trailer. All wires are covered to prevent mice attacks. I use led and don’t unplug when launching. Use a meter to check vehicle side.

Bad 2 cycle oil from amazon

I’m using about $100 worth of oil a year so I’m not that interested in looking for cheaper stuff. I like Lucas and it doesn’t smoke very much.

Bass boat trim authority sucks in mid range

Maybe a simple way ( I know it works on some boats). Run the speed you want and adjust the trim to stop the porpoise. If you don’t change the rpm much then you have the sweat spot.

1984 StarCraft SF14 transom bracing question

I like what you have done so far. I would like a panel (either wood or aluminum ) on the outside of the stern to sandwich everything together. As big as you can without going much below the water line. Find some thin wood to shim it out. If wood paint with Rustolium. Test how strong it is...

Drain gas tank to tell where empty is.

So I had the tank empty by using the fuel line to the engine. So usable fuel. Then I put the new sender in. Then I put 20L in and the gauge didn’t move off empty. Then I put 20L more in and the gauge went to just under a 1/2 tank. Then I put 10L more in and the gauge stayed the same. So...

Drain gas tank to tell where empty is.

I got 56L out of the gas tank. It was reading 1/4 tank but bouncing a lot. When I move the old sender while connected to an ohm meter it seems ok. I’m just waiting for the new sender to get here.

Drain gas tank to tell where empty is.

I ran my kicker that has a 12L tank until it ran out of gas. I then marked the tank with magic marker to tell where empty is. 6L of gas is about 15hrs trolling at 3mph. I wrote that on the tank too. Now I’m wondering about the on board tank. The fuel gauge is not very accurate. I’m...

Hello I have a 2006 Lowe’s fish time 175S and I need 3 down rigger mounts and the gunnel is not wide enough for my Scotty down riggers. Any suggestion

I use the cannon tracks on my boats. They make a funnel adapter for narrow gunnels too.

Just bought a 70s 16-17ft Springboke with a 85 johnson is this a good Outboard

Well that narrows it down. Lol Put some plywood down on the floor to make it usable for now. It ain’t cheap or easy to redo the interior.

What is your worst day on the water?

Years ago. Some captains make it interesting. A friend got a boat but didn’t have a tow vehicle yet so he asked me to go. His dad had a boat so I figured he probably knew how to drive one. Four people and a baby load into an old 15’ runabout, closed bow with windshield. We round a point...

    I'm back with a 1994 Islander 221V!

Wow nice work. I have the same quicksilver 3000 controller. I had it all apart a while ago as the trim up would stick on If I press too hard. I can’t see why it does it.

    Aluminum boat leaking

I’m getting about a gallon an hour. But that’s down from the ten gallon an hour before repairs. The gals like boats.
