I took a set off my motor during repower and put them on the shelf. Did replace the 3 to 4 wire some years back. I'll go check later and see if mine are different

Running motor at idle doesn't fill the exhaust manifolds completely. This means one side will always be hotter than the other because water flows easier in one direction than the other.
As I read your comment I don't see a concern with temps
Saying this just for clarification in case your swapping gauge numbers
A 4 gauge wire is larger than a 6 gauge, the smaller the number the larger the wire.
6 AWG wire would be small for a 305 and can current will increase for a 350
