    I am considering a 13' RIB with 95 Merc Jet drive (1998). The seller has told me it smokes a bit at start-up...I can live with that. Is the Merc Jet something I should avoid and keep looking for an outboard version? thanks..

    302 Ford Leaks Oil

    We have a 1977 Viking with a Merc 888-Ford 302. The bilge water is very oily. When I check the dipstick, it doesnt show any oil a couple times. If you bring the level back up is wont hold that level. It definitely has a oil leak from someplace. Looking for a suggestion where the leak...

    Kinked water hose

    I have a 1977 Merc 888 with the Ford 302 V8 raw water cooled. It is overheating under load. I found my fresh water supply hose inside the bell housing kinked. How can this be replaced and is it a special Merc part? Mine looks like standard NAPA 1/2" black hose. thanks.

    120hp choke housing

    I have a 67 OMC 4cyl 120hp with twin carbs. The wrench slipped and I cracked one of the plastic choke housings the back side of which is the anchor point for the choke spring. Anyone know where I can get this part or a new carb complete..they are Carter RBS carbs? thanks Gerry in Michigan
