    That sounds pretty good to me, as long as you don't drill the holes in the angle too big. Are the angles in the front pedestal holes? Those will take the most force from the seat pulling back, so they should have the widest force dispersal you can get.

    They just use stainless wood screws, #14 I think. Pre drill the holes, and run the screws in. Trying to use T nuts would require way too much precision.     Be very careful with just 2. That leaves a lot of room for flex, and the cap isn't very rigid when seperated from the hull.

    Aluminum boats have square sheets of aluminum screwed to the bottom of the floor under the pedestal locations. I would suggest this, as the seats won't come loose if and when the floor rots. T nuts or doubled ply would still allow fasteners to come loose, potentially leading to an occupied seat...

    Fiberglass doesn't soften under heat. Enough heat to do that would probably ignite it. I had to grind the inside real thin to make it flexible. Tomorrow I get to figure out how to hold it in place and put some more glass to hold the shape I need.

    You can take those apart, just make sure every screw goes back in the same hole. Some of them are in line with the glass, so if long ones go in short holes you can shatter the glass. It's not something I've done myself, but I've seen it done right by the supervisor and wrong by a former coworker.

    That would be much easier. I've also used a sawzall. Tape a stir stick to a long blade, and put some adhesive backed dand paper on the stick. It was a bit slow, but it worked.
