    Are all Johnson Trim Tilts the same ????

    I know that some PTT will only fit some engines ie a 50 wont fir a 100 ect Is this only due to the brackets ?? Are they rated to lift different weights ?? Say you took one from a 125 and fitted it to a 50 would it work quicker as it is lifting a lighter engine ??? Or are they rated all the same ????

    Any benefit of drilling holes through the mid section for the exhaust outlets?

    I have seen a few engines with the exhaust gases coming through holes drilled in the mid section. Is there any benefit from this ?? I thought the engine needs back pressure from the exhaust to work properly. Any thoughts on this ???
