    Friend of mine bought a 6 hp Evinrude motor with a broken drive shaft: he needs to order a replacement. Can’t find this model number with Google search. I think it’s Belgian made 1983, but I’m just guessing. Anyone have help?

    You must have gotten a bad part. I replaced that same gear a couple weeks ago on my little Johnson 6 hp and it worked perfectly fine.

    You do see daylight thought that hole. I took out that plug to drain the water out of my boat last night. It’s been filling up. I think from there.
