    We come down to the control box. The key switch what wires coming out of the key switshould be hot going back to the motor. I'm not sure if I have a bad key switch. Or the neutral safety switch or the toggle switch.

    Could not find a blk wire except ground wires. Turned key maybe 15 times,just for he'll of it, has light on plug wire to look for spark. Once I had spark then no more. Some one has changed color wires on motor. I ordered new switch box. Came in with 2 green wires. I don't have any green wires...

    I unplugged 1 end of switch of the switch other end is ground. Still no spark Damm

    The toggle switch under the hood by the key, with battery hooked up. Key turned on, toggle in up position. No continuity. BINGO

    I brought the Control box back by motor and checked continuity in 6 wires. Tested continuity from control box to end of cable with male connectors. yellow red stripe, yellow blk stripe,blk with yellow stripe,blk, red,tan, they all had continuity. So does that mean the problem is on the motor...

    Also, spark plug wires. I'm not really sure how to test the wires. I put the red probe in the end of The Wire. I put the black wire on ground on the block. Is that correct?

    The spark plug leeds test ok. I put new stator on cause the org. tested low. Thought for sure Id get spark but not today Trigger is next. Im not real sharp with the ohm meter but I have to get this running. Any other help is appreciated

    Out of all the electrical things on the motor why would you check the wires first? Have you had a similiar problem with this motor. Also does this year motor have a bad history? And thank you

    20 HP 2 Stroke Mariner need help with year .

    Need help 2 times 20 HP Mariner 2 stroke. Not sure of year ( B281656) and has a twisted spline where the prop fits on. Is this the way it is designed? Thanks as always.
