    Haven't done this on a cobra but have on a couple of alpha ones. With that much corrosion I would think you are also going to have to replace or put a speedi sleeve on the input yoke to drive as if the seal isnt leaking now it will shortly. If you are paying someone it will likely be cheaper...

    Did you have spark when it died? suspect not given the staring fluid did fire off. Would check for spark and verify 12 v at positive terminal on coil when it happens

Some of the grease looked ok on the crosses that were not roached , the ones that were roaches the grease was dark…so much for permalube … by match them up you can take them out...

I found on long high rpm runs the oil pressure would get lower some times down to 40-45 psi at 4500 or more rpm. Was thinking maybe oil is foaming or getting more oil up...
