    Boat age vs financing.

Looking like as long as this boat is what the seller says it is, It might just happen. I still can’t figure out how to post a picture of it, but I also can’t download the pictures

When do you pull your freshwater boat?

I generally like boating more in September- October. No ramp follies ( unless it happens to be me, then nobody’s there to see it usually lol )… I haven’t even been out yet but have a few trips planned after Labor Day. I’ll run till November with my little outboard

    Boat age vs financing.

Biggest concern is where to put it, and then what to do with the Offshore. Right now I have 4 boats. One is a parts boat, and another just needs chopped up… I just chopped up parts boat #1

    Another Motor mount repair question

My Medallion 195 seems to have solid floors as well. But they are wavy so I question their structure

    Boat age vs financing.

We’re leaving it as if it works out, we will figure it out. It’s the right boat, at a good price at the wrong time. Struggling with getting the Offshore ironed out so she’s onboard with the idea. Fwiw it’s a ‘70 Islander 22 with a factory hard top, and it’s already been gone through

    Boat age vs financing.

True. But I don’t really want a boat that big either. I don’t think she knew exactly how big it really was from the pictures

    Boat age vs financing.

Well. If the cards allign this weekend, there’s a good chance I’ll tug home a nice big enough boat. I can’t post pictures ( because we actually can’t lol ) but I’ll also say that it’s an Islander but not just any old Islander. Got the wife on board with it and we’ll make the room… I buy way...

    Another Motor mount repair question

Regal at the time was one of the better built boats. The transom will be to specification which is 2-2 1/4” for the Mercruiser to fit correctly. Beyond that, it’ll be a standard stringer, fiberglass and foam constructed boat. You still have a likely chance the rest of the stringers are gone. I...

    Ram down....uggh

Idk the GM 2.7 4cyl sells pretty good and they run okay. Very few problems with them unlike the V8s which have camshaft issues related to the AFM and usually require a new engine.

Getting challenging to find somewhat common items?

Auto value. Parts plus. Napa and a couple other smaller chains. They are all franchise suppliers but the stores themselves are usually independently owned or owned by a smaller local chain

    Fault code list needed

Pretty sure you have a Ford EEC IV ECU making that run. It’s running marine specific programming and some of the sensors are marine specific. But Ford EEC IV codes may make some sense

    Pontoon with 60hp Bigfoot

Party barges need 2 things to plane. Lots of hp and lift strakes. Your 1995 toon probably doesn’t even have lift strakes. Your big foot is also what would be considered a high thrust motor as they use the lower unit from a larger motor to move larger boats with less hp. 3mph is the speed of...

    Haul repair

If the floor is rotten, it’s a mostly good chance the stringers are too. Especially on a Bayliner/Maxum. You would need to drill test holes to verify, not just look

    Haul repair

You’ll have to have all the stringers out as well and have it as an empty tub to repair the boat so it’ll be easy to get to once your there

    Rustoleum or not

You are 50% correct. Give or take. ‘Some’ topside paints are polyurethane. Others like Rust oleum topside paint is alkyd enamel

1977 and newer the cutout changed just a little ( need trimming ) and I’m not sure when the exhaust changed but by the mid 80s the riser and manifold is different
