    I simply make sure the battery's are charged and disconnect them. Top off in spring and go boating. It get's to -20 up here and I haven't had any issues.

    Most new gimble bearings are not greaseable. The kit comes with a plug, you take out the grease fitting and install the plug. I've never seen a tube corrode and fail but then again, I've only worked on freshwater boats.

    A little heat doesn't hurt, not red hot. But in this case the pivot bolts are not threaded. They are held in place with what I call an aluminum "nail".

    I usually bend the pin in the back straight, tap it fwd a as much as you can and grab the head with a side cutter and pry them out. A proper stainless cotter pin works to put it back together, there is really not much stress on those pins.

    Had my coupler break similar to that. Turned out the previous owner had bent it and straightened it before I bought it. Yup, the boat fell off the hitch ball and the tounge slid under the truck. Lucky I was going downhill in town, slowly. Another mile and I would have been on the highway...

    I'd go with the bigger motor, more power if the weather gets bad. Yes the steering arm would be good to have, as you could be at the helm and more comfortable.

    Not sure on your model, but yeah those center consuls are open to weather. Maby check with the mfg about a bimi that fits correctly, and will cover the aft area a bit.     Glad you got it sorted out. A bit different than most, us those float switches don’t work, seldom get stuck on. Unless it was the beeper itself, I’ve seen them short and keep running.

    Been out there, no deer yet. Couldn’t get set up till last week. Did have a horny 4 point running around me yesterday, couldn’t get a shot as he was going nuts looking for the doe bleat I was using. Kind of comical watching him. Did have a nice 8 on the cam. Hope he comes in when Im there.

    Well, start at the mister pump itself, check for power with the mister turned on. Or just look for a fuse or breaker and check there.
