I was going to use Rust-Oleum Topside Paint, but then I accidentally discovered COMET cleaner..

I was going to paint just the topside of my boat as it was pretty ratty looking, especially the back deck top. I used some Comet, and scrubbed it well so that the paint would adhere to it, but then I realized it looked freaking amazing when I was done. It turns out I'm not going to paint it...

Acorn anode rubber washer for the lower aluminum bolts.

Does anyone know where that rubber washer goes on the lower anode bolt? Does it go directly on the back of the actual acorn shaped anode as a gasket, or does it get fastened to the square part of the bolt to the transom. I put that washer behind the acorn. I know it's obsolete, but I need to...

Leak thru the lower aluminum anode bolt, I recently installed them after redoing transom. Do you put silicone around the bolt prior to tightening?

I rebuilt my transom recently. I took it out today for the very first time and had noticed water was coming in from the lower starboard aluminum anode bolt. It wasn't coming out of the other side, just the starboard side. Question - when installing the anode bolt and the egg shaped anode...

Does the power trim motor have to be bleed, I removed the gimbal housing for transom repair awhile ago. Motor engages no movement of Trim Rods.

Does the power trim motor have to be bleed? I did a transom rebuild and the gimbal housing was off the boat for 2 months, the trim motor engages, but the rods don't move up or down, the outdrive isn't on it yet., is that maybe why because there's no pressure or weight to the trim rods?

    Thru Hull Fuel Vent Fitting

While removing the old carpet from the Stern shelf above the engine room, I noticed my fuel vent fitting broke off the back of the hull inside the boat and I'm not sure what to order. Mine is about 1/2 inch wide or 30mm. It's a llittle short of a dime coin in width. I'm bad with fractions. Could...

One of the studs on the sterndrive is angled too much when I rethreaded it, so it's not aligning properly with the transom mount.

I just did a dry fit with the gimbal housing to the transom mount outside of the boat. I had noticed that one of the gimbal studs that I had rethreaded in the gimbal housing is angled too much causing the two parts to not match up properly. Question: Do I re-tap the gimbal housing stud slot to...
