    Lower units on a outboard are just like a differential on a car, truck. They do NOT build up pressure, only leak through gaskets, seals. Prove me wrong.

    Doesn't the gasket go around all the screws? i believe this is a mating issue. jmo

    Stupid question, why would you pressure test the lower unit when there usually is no pressure in the lower unit? just grease or 90 weight. blow out seals that are not leaking. jmo

    Oil level doesn't change, if the dipstick is bent, curled, you stick it in one way and it curles back, then you stick the other way, curles forward. Different readings. JMO

    JUST MY OPINION. If it were me and i had the money, i would find local ( to the boat ) and set up some kind of appointment, drag that boat out, take it to the nearest tire dealer and put all new tires on that trailer. This comes from a fellow boater who eats pot pies.
