i just want to give this guy a shout out, if you need vintage outboard decals, this dude is the way to go, stock, custom, whatever. no, i do not get anything from this. fyi
Vintage Marine Decals, ebay.
Divide 120 hours by 14 per day then add 300 minutes, then subtract 100 seconds minus three. add six just because, by my calculations, your outboard will die at 4:13 pm on december 14, 2032, give or take. JMO lol
BTW, if you think your going to save money by doing work beforehand, your not. SIT BACK, let them do everything and have a beer. their price is already set.
LOL, good luck, if i ask a contractor, how are you going to run wires and the answer was, we don't know, we'll let you know. i would get a different contractor.
A guy walks into a bar carrying a set of jumper cables, sits down and asks the bartender for a bottle of whiskey, bartender says, OKAY, but you better not try to start anything.
Any OPINIONS as to use dielectric grease on spark plug wires. on this engine, the spark plug wires are NOT soldered to the coil, they are held in place with a bakelite nut that holds the end of the wire to a flat connector on the coil. would it help, or hurt to use a dab on the end of the plug...
everything is apart and rebuilt, restored. putting it back together and basically want to bench test to make sure i get spark before bolting everything down for good and move on. call me simple but i just dont understand why this wouldnt work. you got the magnets and cam that open the points on...
hypothetical question, would it be possible to test spark if i put the flywheel on without the keyway and just spun the flywheel on the crank to test spark to plugs? sounds feasible to me.
