    I like just upgrading to EMI tested LED nav lights. Usually can match style , there are so many styles available. But you always can find a socket from NAPA and there is no end to led replacement bulbs.

    I always believe that maintaining on board batteries correctly is the answer. Why would you expect to drain your batteries? Is there a problem that needs addressed? Jump pack is just extra stuff on board in my opinion.

    Tach is working and not working

    Compare the running readings to a good quality automotive service tach, if they are pretty close, all is good. If the boat tach doesn't match, replace it.

    OEM wiring diagrams usually don't exist in the boat world. Probably have to start tracing. Power probe is my tool of choice for this job. Can pick up a power probe at Harbor Freight now.Power Probe

    There are many sources for the Delco Voyager marine ignition kit. Mad Props on u tube has a video on it that is pretty good. He is also a member here. I switched to it in place of TB when I repowered. 350 Chevy.

    I love the Blue Sea fuse blocks. I use the type that also gives you ground terminals. Great products.

    Crank centric is the key I think. Never seen this addressed in any Mercruiser install manual either.

    With all the discussions about motor mount beds and design, I have never seen any discussion on angle. Match transom angle or parallel to bilge bottom? I have always went parallel to bilge, curious if anyone has any input. Wondering if there is some binding in mounts if flat.

    Cleaning Manifolds & Risers

    I soaked mine in evapo rust then scrubbed with purple power cleaner. Much rinsing washed loose debris out. Got alot of sand and mud also. Filed the gasket surfaces flat. Acetone tested for cracks and installed after some fresh paint. Gun spray rustoleum( with hardener).

    Tossed in the fuel tanks, looking at layout options. Been looking at pics online to see where waterline sits so I can set the aft self bailing deck height. Looks like the waterline paint is pretty accurate for true waterline. Has anyone used the big scuppers for a self bailing deck? The ones...
