    Trailer bleeding brakes. Part 2

This is my first shot at bleeding brakes the objective is simple, remove the air from the brake line. I purchase this item to do the bleeding. Port side bleed normal like I would see on youtube. Port side is the furthermost away from the cylinder. Starboard side was acting up. I am bleeding...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

Good idea, I have a piece in the basement left over from my floors. I will go over and dry fit and see. I was thinking since it was not plywood I should not use. Since its not being used as a support brace 100% it will be good if it works. Here is a pic of how the old floor was. It had a base...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

Might be easier to just put some thicken resin instead of wood and shape it. about 1 1.5 inches or make a lip with some 1708. I see it would be hard to cut a chip of wood to shape level on the hull.

    1966 MFG Rebuild

Yeah I thought about adding the whole piece wood after looking at the photo more. I just figured it would be less resin I would have to get to cure in the cold if it was just mounting smaller pieces. I dont know what to expect glassing in the winter. Its new to me same principal just new step...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

Went over for an hour yesterday to string a line for the deck height. I realized the original deck sat just below the chines not on them. I measured 2" below the chine all the way to the front and space them about 1-1.5ft or about. I was thinking about glassing some small wood cleats to replace...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

Yeah I am trying. Temu actually has it for 39.99. As I look at it again it not that thick as I thought. Also thinking about the cost of the 4x8 foam sheets I would nail to the top at least (6) @ $50 a pop. Its adding up! The actual curtains will run about (2) @ $100 for 8'x16' sides and (2) @...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

Yesterday went over to add 2 more 4x4 post to my shed to prepare for snow this winter. Added it to the mid section on each side and it made it even more stable. Connected it with (3) 5" lag screws at the top in a triangle shape. Hammered down the green 4x4 post stake that goes 31" into the...

    Tarps

Tarp I use purchase on Amazon. In used now for 3 years. Bright colors that reflect and at least 10ml or thicker will get you through a few years. I use all year as stuff fall in my boat year round from the trees. If you have a frame going under or sharp edges on your boat like windows. You...

Ragged out idle 90hp 2 stroke

This was my problem with the manual and setting carbs. You set them to what the spec says and it still does not run correctly. I am not a mechanic but I can read a manual and turn a wrench if I can get to the part. I did not know at the time when I had a Merc 115 carb that the manual is just a...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

Sound good I never looked at it that way. Bottom we just need to decide on what color and prep he surface. The heat lamps can I use those cheap metal ones like these 2 or 3. I suppose its all on the bulb. I was thinking I would need one of those $100 dollar shop heat lamps with legs etc. I...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

One question I did have. I do plan on sanding the bottom of the boat and adding a layer of CSM. Should I turn it over after I get the stringers installed and attached to the transom or would it be better doing it before installation? Or does it matter? I know it will be a bit heavier with the...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

I am going to add another 4x4 post midway on my carport since I only used 2x4 instead of a 2x6 as the hanger. I might do the same this winter KC cover up a section and bring in my space heater to do the glass work. I will try these chines section by section maybe and if they turn out okay then I...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

Went over yesterday before the Commanders game to grind down the one side of the bottom of the hull with 40 grit and angle grinder. Grind down the hull inner chines where the deck will come in contact with the hull. Smooth out my rough edges of 1708 i put down and grind down the old thicken...

    1966 MFG Rebuild

I will mostly be grinding and cutting wood over the winter. If I do any glass work that mean I am bored an have extra money to spend on heat lamps etc. I am only $1500 in so far boat included. I am keeping a spread sheet on material cost. Hope the family is doing good.
