I had to remove my swim deck to paint the transom. The Previous owner mounted it with what looks like inner tube patches and lots of blue silicone.
Is there a proper way to mount this? I do plan on using 4200 to seal screws.

Outdrive is Shot but I would like to tinker with a cold starting problem I have been having. Is there a way to plumb water directly to the engine so I can start it with out drive off, Or is this incredible stupid and impossible to do?
