I understand that optimal temp is 143degrees. Mine is running about 165. Instead of tearing down in the middle of boating season is it OK to run it like that? How hot is too hot?

with your engine off, is your prop supposed to lock and not go one direction when you put it in gear..and the opposite direction when put in opposite gear?
If the answer is yes, and it doesn't lock when I put it in reverse, what does that mean.

I have a bilge pump that you switch on an off- no automatic float. how do I convert to automatic. Would it be as easy as purchasing an pump/float combo (or two seperate units) and wiring it to the exisiting switch..and just leaving that switch on..or am I missing something?
