What is the exected water pump impeller expectancy or service cycle for a 1983 15 Rude?
Engine gets about 25 hours per year.
I seem to be changing them avery 2.5 to 3 seasons, not sure if this is normal or not.

Engine was running fine then just quit, like I had pressed the stop button. No sputter, just stopped.
I think it is an ignition problem. Any ideas on where to start looking? ALl wires were connectec.

Model is 1961 10 HP johnson QD-22. I resealed the lower unit and replaced the impeller. Engine starts but now where I think is the water discharge the water is not coming out as fast as it used to..

I am in the process of replacing the seals in the lower unit of a 1961 10 HP johnson.
Sealoc manual mentions a special tool used to pull the seal from where the shift lever and drive shaft go. I do not have this special tool.
Are there workarounds to this by using other tools?

Where may I get the seals for the lower unit to a 10 HP 1961 Johnson?
Will need the seal around the drive shaft, the prop shaft and probably the gasket for the lower unit.
Any good namuals that explain how to replace them?
