SX-M outdrive not going into reverse consistently

Thanks, yes the shift cable shifts the shift assembly into forward and reverse just fine. It's just not fully "catching" making me believe the clutch is worn out.

SX-M outdrive not going into reverse consistently

Guys, My SM-X outdrive just started not wanting to engage into reverse. When I put it in reverse it sometimes goes in immediately and once in a while it takes 4-5 seconds. I checked the shift cable and it's "snapping" the gear into reverse so I'm confidant that it's not a shift cable issue...

Where do you guys buy your Volvo Penta outdrive oil?

Nearly every pump I see on Amazon states not for Volvo so It's makes me wonder if any of them will work with the SX drive.

Should I replace my surge brakes with electric on my boat trailer?

I'm confused at how electric brakes have more points of possible failure than surge brakes. Everything you listed for surge brakes is a point of failure - the actuator, brake lines, wheel cylinders. For electric the only point of failure is the power to the actuator. Seems a lot less likely...

Non slip adhesive padding - removal and replacemet

So the next step in my trailer restoration is to remove the old dry rotted non slip padding on each side of and on top of my fenders. The old was in such bad shape it came off but left the adhesive and a plastic film. Now I need to get that off and find replacement. Any suggestions for either...

Should I replace my surge brakes with electric on my boat trailer?

It's going to cost me between 200 to 250 to replace my A60 master cylinder, new brake lines, and new hydraulic servo cylinders. I just checked and I could convert to electric brakes for around the same price or a bit more. Do electric brakes work good on boat trailers?

Replacing my brake lines with rubber lines

Guys, My current rusted brake lines are ran through the frame on my tandem axle trailer. I'm wonder if I should mount the new lines on the outside of the frame or go to all the trouble of trying to route it through the fram and enlarge the exit hole. If on the outside of the frame I was going...

Why does my tandem axle trailer not have a backup solenoid?

Thanks for the info guys. I'm rebuilding my 23 year old trailer and the Brake Actuator Master Cylinder didn't have the electric solenoid and I wanted to make sure. My actuator doesn't have any lock out build in so I guess it's not needed? Thanks again.

Why does my tandem axle trailer not have a backup solenoid?

Guys, My tandem axle trailer doesn't have a lock out nor backup solenoid. Why? Is it because I have drum brakes?

    How to bleed trailer brakes

Well I found out that there's a small hole in the bottom of the trailer tongue that you can insert a flat head screwdriver to pump the actuator. This was so easy once I found out about this.
