So the next step in my trailer restoration is to remove the old dry rotted non slip padding on each side of and on top of my fenders. The old was in such bad shape it came off but left the adhesive and a plastic film. Now I need to get that off and find replacement. Any suggestions for either removing and more importantly where can I find this non slip padding? I liked what I had which was black octagonal pattern but I'm having a hard issue finding what I originally had.

Acetone soaked rag to get the old adhesive off.

You may never find what was there originally

I have non slip sticky back tape about 3" wide from Home Depot. Seems to work ok...

I originally did stick-on non-skid. Then I added non-skid sand to the top layer of paint

I bought a piece of "bulk" non-slip from E-Bay a few years ago. The piece was big enough for 4 trailers. I simply had to cut pieces to match the existing ones I took off. Sorry I don't remember the vendor. Google it.

I used this stuff on my trailer tongue, rails and a section on the stern of my boat. It's been 2 years but it has held and really helps when I have to walk on the tongue and rails for launch / recovery
