    You need to have the engine deeper in the bucket. The water pump impeller is not self priming, the impeller housing have to be under the water line.

    That is a 1985-86 year model and as racerone marketed as Mercury and also marketed as Tohatsu. Here in Europe it also was rated as 4Hp, I have maintain a couple of these and it is a good motor but with a noisy crank it will be expensive to fix.

    Chris1956, unfortunately maxrules only have diagrams for the lager 4 cylinder Force engine.

    The killswitch grounds out the CDI box. Disconnect the wire from the CDI and should have spark if there is no another issue.
