My seat was stuck to the pedestal on the boat I bought used a pipe wrench to free it.. want to put the seat on a shorter pedestal...any suggestions on what lube to use to keep it from getting stuck again .. also don't want it so lose it come off while I'm sitting on it ...

I had my motor winterized in Nov..change oil and drain fuel system
yesterday I go out and work on my battery compartment and when I take off the tarp I got oil on it and on the lower part of the motor
we haven't had a hard winter and not a lot of freezing weather
Did the guys at the marine shop...
I have a 3 gal portable gas tank..how long can I leave gas in the tank if I add sta-bil each time I fill it up...
