    been trying to remove gimbal bearing for a week and now finally its moved, but it only rotated the middle part. what do i do and if i get the middle out can i just replace the middle from a new one. thanks as always

    Mercruiser gimbal bearing stuck should I replace transom assembly

    Help, rented a slide hammer to remove gimbal bearing but it will not budge. Question is should I keep trying even though I have a newer parts boat that has a complete stern drive that I plan to switch out anyways? Is it absolutely nessasary to remove the engine to get the whole transom...

    Swap out stern drives

    I have a mercruiser alpha 1 gen 2 on a 5.7 v8 searay. Is it possible to take a alpha1 gen 2 from a v6 and put on my v8. If not are the gimbal bearings the same size. Thanks in advance.
