I’m looking to replace a 1999 mercury 125 hp 2 stroke on my 97 26’ pontoon and I’ve come across a 2004 Honda 150 hp outboard. Have a couple questions.
What’s good compression numbers and will the extra 100 lbs affect the pontoon?

10-4. Don’t get me wrong, my 125 was a good motor. Heck, I could back troll my pontoon without any issue at all and if it was just me, wouldn’t give two turds if it idled a lil goofy but the boss didn’t like it.

Kinda figured so I’m gonna drain oil and leave drain plug out and then run water through where the thermostat lives and see if any water comes out oil pan drain plug hole. Also contemplating dropping oil pan for a visual inspection.
