ya, i was hoping someone on here had done somthing similar to what i am trying to do and had a recommendation. i have seem on the youtube channel" tom's toons' where he has replaced engine pods and had used a "pre-fabbed" engine pod. just havent found that video again.
i did go out and measure the engine pod and there is a 7 inch negative angle to my engine pod over a 16". i also used the angle finder app on my phone and it showed an angle of 22.5. Now, i do believe that is excessive. arent most transoms, boat or pontoon like 10-15 degrees?
i also do know...
hey all. so i replaced the 1988 force `125 hp on my 1998 MonArch sunspa 260 with a 1999 Mercury 125 hp outboard. I noticed with both engines that if i have engine trimmed all the way down, its got a negative angle to it and if i trim it so it's straight up and down( 0 angle), that it will not...
ya, ive been leaning towards a bad Lower unit. i do know that i need a new control box. the handle on the one in the pontoon snapped off. Id like to make this motor work on the pontoon due to the cost of repowering. With my current setup, my WOT top speed is 24 at 4200 rpm with a stainless steel...
hey guys!!!!! long time since I've posted. I have a 1998 MonArch SunSpa 260 pontoon with a 1988 Force 125 hp outboard. Model number 1254x8A. we have only had this pontoon 2 summers. Does anybody have a part number for control cables for this motor? The cables that are on my motor currently are...
I can say that the ones I’ve been looking are are carbed engines. Carbs are simple. They do show compression readings on the motors and they are consistent across the board on the ones I’m looking at. What are the compression readings supposed to be so I know going forward?
Hey guys and gals.
I have a 1998 MonArch SunSpa 260 pontoon with a 1988 force 125 on it. I looking to repower it with a different brand( and hopefully newer) outboard in the 150 hp variety.
I’ve been eyeing a few different Johnson outboards , in the yr range of 2000-2003ish, for sale on EBay...
Hey all, last yr we picked up a 1996 MonArk SunSpa 260. The capacity plate is completely worn off so I don’t know any of the specs for the pontoon. Do any of you have a resource or own one that could relay the info from it to me?
Thanks.
So, just curious, can you use a mercruiser alpha one props on these motors? I recently bought a 26’ pontoon with a force 125 and I have a couple mercruiser props. Just curious if I could use them on the force. Haven’t found anything on this subject.
