Lowrance Fuel Flow issue/questions

I installed an Elite FS7 last spring, then added two fuel flow sensors. I had some config problems and got some phone support but never quite got the issue sorted. Now support from Lowrance appears to be no longer available? Is anyone here up on Lowrance configuration?

Here is the issue: twin engines, dual fuel tanks (one for each engine) and two Lowrance fuel flow sensors. While configuring, it seems to get confused as to which tank/engine combo gets which sensor. It wants to put both sensor with one engine??

I did seem to get it to work but: Start port engine, port sensor reads flow and starboard sensor read zero (with engine not running of course). All seems well. When I do the opposite (start Starboard with Port not running) BOTH sensors read flow, pretty much similar numbers too. Physically there is no flow into Port engine - pumps are not running of course. After I start Port engine (with starboard running), things seem to operate as you would expect. Numbers then seem to make sense. But, I don't trust it - there has to be something wrong?

Last year Lowrance cut the call short stating all was fine even though I was questioning the Port sensor reading while that engine was off and starboard was running.

Now, support from Lowrance seems to have stopped (no longer a support phone number). Does anyone have a number, or knowledge of the proper configuration of a dual tank / dual engine arrangement?

Thanks

Scott

Assume you configured/assigned the sensors in the device list.

Are the flow sensors powered from a common source or separately?

Yes - but that was part of the confusion. It kept wanting to assign the sensors to only one engine. There did not seem to be a straight forward way to say "this is the sensor for the starboard engine". The fellow from Lowrance helped get it "functional" but it did not seem correct.

As for power, they are powered directly from the NMEA2000 interface.

you can still contact lowrance. just have to do it via their website. if you go to the bottom of their screen, you hit the contact us link. from there about a dozen screens later, you get to the point where you can email them or chat on the computer with them regarding your Elite X
