I am still working on my small wooden console to mount my depth finder, GPS on top, and front panel to mount 2 switches for my lights and bilge pump. I had asked for any pics, plans and ideas in four different fishing forums and got nothing, so i just built my own from 1" cedar, then 2 coats of varathane sanded in between coats, and then painted. Still need to paint inside and do some touch ups. Two items on top are mounted, but not the 2 switches yet or the wiring. Achored to bottom plywood and side with long screws. The motor is a tiller, but i had these items left over from another boat I had sold. So I needed someplace to mount them. See pics below.
P.S. The bright line on the side is from the sun coming thru my cedar fence.

Nice job! What size boat?
Here's the console I built for my 14 Jon.
More of a center console, but I put it closer to one side for better bow access.
I installed a 12V fuseblock below that connects the starter, navigation lights, bilge pump, horn and lighter outlet. I use a portable fishfinder so it doesn't get stolen. The gauge is an old speedometer I had lying around.
I added a weatherproof switch to control the nav lights. It can be seen just above the wheel.

My boat is a 1548, G3 version, 2005. Has a 1997 tiller 25hp Yamaha with a 40lb hand operated bow mounted fold out troll motor with off/on foot operated switch mounted on the deck. Just installed troll motor, bilge pump, navagation lights, side console, high mounted lights on trailer to keep out of salt water, and side boards on trailer for drive on loading, and do they work extremly well. Next project next week is gray marine type carpet, then the ol boat will be very fishable.
Your boat is super good looking and very fishable.

Nice job. Sorry I didn?t see your request earlier. I fabricated one from Stainless Steel for my old 16? John Boat. I have since sold that boat, but I am currently designing another now. Keep us post with the finished product.

Home Depot carries a rattle can paint that's close to a jon boat's off green color. I don't remember the brand, but the color is "sage" or "oregano". It's not a 100% match since the color is a bit off and it's not a flat paint, but comes pretty close.

My console is painted the color of my boat as close as I can get it. Its the glare from the flash because the paint is a semi-gloss finish. Its camo paint. Pics were taken at night.

I know what you are saying about trying to find a close color match, took me a trip to 3-4 stores to find the right shade, and then it's not 100%, but pretty darn close. I found the can of paint and it's Rustoleum Painter's Touch Ultra Coverage Satin Oregano. I used a different brand a couple years ago that was almost a dead ringer for the green paint and the color was "sage", but darned if I can find that brand/color anywhere now.

Either way I like the console, looks good!
