Bankfisher...the paint looks sweet, nice job:D

What colors are those? I've been eyballing the easypoxy and I'm now convinced since yours turned out just as nice as Ezmobee's:)

That boat will catch some glances, looks fast already;)

Dark Gray ands Bright Red.

Easiest paint of any kind that I have ever used!!
Rolled it on with a foam roller for smooth surfaces. Had a lot of bubbles when I first applied but they just went away.

I also used the brushing thinner, this seemed to help me keep a wet edge longer, after I got each coat applied I just rolled back over everything to catch any runs.

Isn't that paint the best? I had the same good luck. Only thing is that it WILL run but if you keep an eye on it you're golden.

Re: Starcraft 16' SS restoration

I need some help and advice!!!!

What is the best way to clean up the aluminium topside pieces??
I have been buffing them with a buffing wheel and white rouge, but they are just not coming to the shine I want. I have done the end caps and they came out like chrome!!! But the inner side pieces seem to to come out looking white:(

Any suggestions??

Chuck, I ordered polishing compound from Midway and it worked great on all my aluminum. You might try using some 000 grit steel wool first.

The interior peices are probably anodized vs the cast stuff on the outside so you may have to give them more attention.

WOW!!! been a while since I added anything on here.
I was shopping today and ran across this pipe foam. Do y'all think this would work for under my deck? This is much less sxpensive than pool noodles, although not nearly as colorful!!

Seems to be a bit thin on material there. No comparison to a "noodle" imo.

Yes about half the size of a noodle. but at $0.97 each you can stuff alot of them under there.

WOW, that looks great. I might just have to steal your paint scheme altogether! Great work, you're inspiring me to get back out there.

Re: Starcraft 16' SS restoration

Your trailer looks great, well rigged too. Just spotted something that you may already have plans to do. I would make some carpeted plywood covers for the inner fenders. I wouldn't want to see that beautiful hull get scratched while loading/unloading the boat. Plus the covers would keep road grime off the boat some too.
