My set up is as follows, 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0L V8, pulling a 2008 25ft Starcraft Islander, tandom axle trailer with surge brakes, 30ft with trailer with a weight about 3200. Truck has no problem other than wont pass a gas station. 13 MPG on a good day going down hill with a tail wind. I love this truck.

My first post, but here are my 2Cents. I pull a 25' Robalo center console with dual 150 mecury outboards. My pullin truck is a 2001 Dodge 3500 4x4 Dually with a 5.9L H/O Cummins. Sometimes I forget I have a boat behind me.

Upgraded in September from a 2004 Ford Escape to a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 Limited. What a difference and waaayyyy overboard for my Bayliner 175. I don't even notice it's there and i've got pleanty of capability if I upgrade the boat later.

I have a 27 Tiara twin 350 I/O 10,000 lbs, pulled it with my 03 k1500 surburban. The 05 dodge 1500 5.7 Hemi with a super chip wouldnt pull it out of the driveway let alone the ramp. (Truck was fast and fun)
Now I use my K3500 chevy 6.6 duramax like its not there.

2010 Ford Sport Trac with 4.6 V-8 and 6 speed automatic. I just sold our boat so I'm towing nothing at the moment. Hope to get a stingray 215 LR or something similar by spring.

I have no pics yet of boat being towed but we will be using our LandRover Discovery for towing.

I pull my Baja Hammer with a 99 Mazda B2500 4 cylinder 5 speed 2WD... sure its bottomed out and I can't use 4th or 5th gear and the boat/trailer is about 5000 lbs loaded... but it works, poor people have poor ways...

No doubt, 5000 lbs is well over th 2000 lbs max before a 1 tonne dually 4X4 is recommended here. You know....just to be safe ehh

Edit, In my area of the world I do not have to worry about hills or heat so that is why I get a kick out of some of the recommendations.

17' Sea Ray BR and 18' Venture Bass Boat. Pull 'em both with a 99 Dodge Durango V8 Mag. However, I do know the boat is back there. Both weigh close to the same; about 1900 lbs. No problems towing, but I sure feel 'em when stopping.

Yeah... me too. I figured I would get jumped on as soon as I posted it...lol

The Mazda is my little work truck that I drive everyday (60 miles a day). I used it to pull my boat out of my barn for an oil change. It barely pulled it 100 feet...hahaha

This is the real deal:

My 08 Tundra 4x4, 5.7L, mostly stock... it doesn't even know the boat is behind it.

8 caliper mod....hahahaha. The little mazda is a good truck, but it was straining to pull the baja.
