Re: hull extension in progress with picks

Oops, I gotta say, I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread. I joined this forum within the past year and have been impressed with the talent and friendly offerings everyone has to offer. Last night, I started this thread on page one. About three hours later I reached 37. I even skipped a few. My wife must have asked me about 4 times what I was looking at, and each time it was the same thing. After the fourth time she finally came over to see what I was looking at and was also impressed.

It's like a reality show about boats with commentary and slides. I, like many others, am looking forward to seeing your final product. Keep up the great work and keep the photos coming!

Too bad I'm not closer, I'd let you borrow my 6hp 30 gal compressor, though I think you'd be better off with your compressor either way, especially for spraying gel coat.

oops! AWOL??? 3 days no updates  I hope you are hard at work sanding, and sanding, and sanding, and not sitting out on the lake enjoying yourself when there's work to be done. And don't try and use the old "work" excuse,I know better. :D:D

No, forget the cuddy and the canoe.
I'd bet the next one will a conversion to a catamaran.

Guys.

It's been freaking 38 degrees here for most of the weekend. That's around 100 F.

I doubt he's donned the suit and done much. If he's smart, he's out in the Bayliner.

Meanwhile, I was inside putting down flooring and sweating like a freaking pig.

Hmm, 75 degrees here. I wish I was working on the boat. Instead, I've got painting and car work to do while the guys install my central air ;)

oops! has his deadline and he's doing what he has to do reach it reasonably. Hopefully that doesn't include inducing heat stroke  :D

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

The heat is no fun! I was pulling the engine from my Geo Metro this weekend for it's rebuild. It was horrible to say the least. The metal was burning me, the asphalt driveway was burning me and no wind. If this was not my commuter car (200 miles a day) I would have just junked the car, but with the price of gas, Spending a $1,000.00 rebuilding a 40 MPG car sure beats $35,000.00 for a new car that gets something close to that.

Yah-gadda-do ... whacha-gadda do!

FRY! :(

Re: hull extension in progress with picks

I'll be back up there the week of the 14th, so I'll stop by and check on him. If he is stuck in, or under the hull, he should have enough Corona to last until then, on second thought maybe not, it's been hot there.
