Hello dear american fellows,
My name is Johnny and I am from Romania, Europe
Few months agos i found a beautiful 21' Starcraft Chieftain V (don't know the year but i suppose it's somewhere between 1969 and 1971) . I found it in a storage unit in Italy, perfectly preserved for the last 35-40 years. Everything is intact original seats , cushions (even the paper tags on the back of them), the only parts missing were the air vents, bow lights and fuel inlets. Luckly, guided by the marks left in the original paint i found the original vents and bow light. This boat is a SURVIVOR !!! It's powerd by a swedish 106HP Volvo Penta, low hours ( only 82) simple diesel - no turbo. Any advice is welcome because i am the only one in my country to own this american piece of art !

Regarding the diesel Volvo Penta , the "dude" who wanted the diesel is on the "other side " where is no sufference and no pain ! Before he left this world, he had the brilliant idea to remove the fuel injectors !

:welcome: aboard, Johnny. We were all rookies once upon a time.

A Chieftain or any Starcraft in Romania has to be rare and with diesel power makes her a very rare model. It sounds like she was well stored and preserved. Looking for pictures. :D

The engine was built between 1970-1977, luckly found six injectors in Sweden, and they were shipped couple days ago !
Because here is winter, brought the seats inside the house and moved my wife's shoes .....she was not very happy !

Thanks a lot ! Kcassells
The owner sons, sold the old man house , took her outside for 8 month. These months produced more damages to her than the last 35 years.
Here are the original four curtains of the cabin, left on the deck in rain and oil traces. Didn't managed to get the stains out for the moment !
