Thought I would start a thread in the resto forum.

.....is getting new gel and interior work. Here is the thread where we picked a general color scheme https://forums.iboats.com/forum/other/dockside-chat/10260936-who-on-here-like-to-photoshop

spent a bit of time vacillating between paint and gel as well as doing the job myself or hiring day labor to do the sanding.

long story short, we bought a new to us truck...... and the Admiral says the coffers are empty.

So, here is the exterior as i pulled the decals prior to hurricane Irma. took photos to get the decals reproduced.

Here is pulling bits of interior. I unfortunately lost about 6 months of pics this summer. many of the interior panel pics were lost. the wood glue has simply deteriorated over the past 30 years and the plywood is delaminating. The new panels will be fastened with double christmas tree fasteners as well as each of the panels will be encapsulated in 2 layers of CSM prior to being covered with foam and new vinyl.

Also notice that the pics were taken after i started the new side consoles.

Here is a pic of me sanding the side of the boat to start to remove the bottom paint. still have not pulled the one strap off the cover from the hurricane.

The little 4hp oil-less compressor doesn't quite keep up with the DA like my old 6hp/80 gallon 2-piston that I sold back in 2010 after the divorce. so if I take a drink of beer between sanding sessions waiting for the compressor, I will get snot-slinging drunk before too long. going to hit up the pawn shops for a bigger compressor.

Spent a bit of time today in the garage working on the side consoles. primarily working on the base for the arm rest pads

Thanks JB. hinges and linkages for custom doors and equipment is part of my real job. did these hinges a while back. originally intended to mirror polish, however the drink holders were brushed, so the glove box and console plates got brushed.

decided to add the arm rests when I realized I needed a handle to open the glove box since its not powered.

a few more pieces to cut and then its CSM and resin time.

What is that ply thickness for the speaker boxes? If it is 2 pieces, what did you use to "Glue" them together?

they are the interior console sides

I used 1/4" and 1/2" where I could, and where on top the control console is 3/4" because I it was swiss-cheesed and the screws needed to go in something.

tite-bond III and staples.
