Krupa and Rich Deffinately rank up there but, they are totally different than most current drummers.

I guess I dont have a favorite but, heres a list of the ones i like.

I have to say my son firstly.
But the best rock band drummer I know of is Bev Bevan of the Electric Light Orchestra. My all time favorite group.

Neil Peart was to drumming what JFK was to the young democrats in the 60's. I don't know some of the old guy like JB posted and perhaps they inspired just as much, but to have seen Neil on stage in his prime was just staggering. He wasn't a drummer, he was a percussionist.
