I know not everybody watches American Idol, and I am not often at a loss for words! But my goodness, the young lady who did such a beautiful rendition of Whitey Houston a few weeks ago, is now the winner of the least amount of votes and had to sing for her life tonight, give me a break, all I can say is the voters on American Idol, don't know there *** from a hole in the ground! Man, I am glad the judges used their save this evening, cause this girl could be the biggest to ever come out of the American Idol competition...

I am still amazed!

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Why do we have to do this, everybody else posts things that they are amazed at. This is not a political post, if it was, I am sure it would have been edited or deleted by now. What is allowed is determined by the moderation team, not you nor I. We are talking about a singing contest, and No, I have never watched Americas Funniest Videos. I was in the army overseas when that show became popular.

Easy, MT, I think it was a joke ... votes = political ... foodfisher probably should have put a smiley after the last comment. The first was saying how peoples votes just don't always add up to what seems to be the best on shows like that.

My computereze isn't as glib as my thoughts. 1) Noone, ( the audience) really knows the vote count. 2) Similar results on the money winning picks with AFV. 3) A fruitless effort to say politics is envolved.

OK, back on topic????

Anyway, I watch AI, and I was dumb founded on how the votes came in . . . . . I was figuring that there must have been some sort of mismatch in how they counted the votes.

Anyway, no harm done 'cuz the judges used "The Save".

I was sure that Hollie C. was going home, and when she didn't even make it in the "bottom 3", that was amazing. What I can figure is that the judges have been really rough on Hollie C., especially Steven Tyler, and have been pumping up some of the other contestants. With that, Hollie probably got more votes, as 'the voters' may have felt she was being treated unfairly. (I cast about 10 votes for Hollie C., due to this reason). I think the judges are trying to 'cook the books' a bit with their comments. It happens from time to time, but this season it seems more prevalent.

Same thing probably with some of the other contestants, who their 'fan base' might have felt that they were in trouble, they cast more votes. Now, Jessica S. probably the best of them all, came in last . . . I think people just took for granted that she would get a lot of votes and sort of 'forgot' to vote for her . . . who knows.

Anyway, one of the more interesting results shows, that will probably be talked about for some time.

Just my 2 cents

America votes for the person they like, not who sings best. Jessica has something about her thy makes her not personable. She doesn't come across as a "idol" don't get me wrong, she can sing! Lol I think possibly another strike on her is she has recorded already, she has lots of professional experience from what I've read, just was not noticed yet. That may deter people away? Anyways, good season and some great singers.
