Re: You are going to love this one...

what about 2 strokes?

Doesn't matter if it's a 4 stroke, 2 stroke, or whatever. All you're doing is pumping unburned fuel into the exhaust system through the cylinders, then igniting it when you switch the ignition back on. Kind of like a pipe bomb with one end open. Done correctly with enough fuel in the exhaust system it also creates a nice fire ball.

If you get close to the right ratio of gasoline and air into the pipe, then when it ignites (makes a boom) it will expand faster than it can exit the exhaust system and create more pressure than the pipe or muffler can handle. That extra pressure blows pipes and mufflers apart, and can destroy engine parts when it blows back into the cylinders.

I would be very impressed (by how stupid you are) by the boom you make if you do it, but I wouldn't do it to MY vehicle. :D

I was riding in the back seat of my brothers 39 dodge when he decided to pop the tailpipe. He didn't stop until the smoke was so thick from the burning floormat that he couldn't see me in the backseat anymore.

Did the same thing on my 68 Cutlass... Yip... Blew that muffler wide open... Drove home only to smell nasty smoke like foam rubber burning....

Exhaust heated up the tunnel, started the rear seat to smoldering...

Pulled to the side o' the road, yanked up the rear seat and tossed it outside and dumped the cooler on it...

Try and explain that to "Mom"...

Its been said...

And they walk among us...

You know I've never even heard of doing that before. And now not only did I learn about doing that, I learned about not doing that at the same time.

I've done it on my riding mower when it was brand new. If I tripped the seat interrupt on accident for a second it would backfire. For some reason it stopped doing this. Probably because I don't trip the seat interrupt for as long now that I am used to the thing.

Last time I cut grass I went through a really thick spot, hit the brakes right before the engine quit, and they heard what sounded like a .45 firing. Oops:D:redface:Also hit the seat interrupter a lot too. Finally moved the seat up a little since I've lost some weight. Less back fat pushing me forward in the seat lol.

Why do I think that Daddy will be very unhappy with the repair bill?

Did that one time with the family station wagon when I was 17. I was trying to see if the automatic transmission would turn the engine over if you were going fast enough. Was really tough to explain to the parents that the muffler just fell off driving down the road!

Or fires back through the carb. :(

And takes your reeds with it.... and if some of the debris from the mangled reeds reach the pistons you will have some nice scratches in your cylinders....
