year of manufacture

I ve got two 75 horse mariners serial no s9510698 and 9514921 and would like to know the year of manufacture.<br />Also had problems with the stator and have been told to change to the 16 amp red stator with new regulator . any advice.<br />Stuart

75hp 9502249 - 9549798 1988 <br /><br />Yes, If you have to replace the stator, get the newer red one(s).

If one uses the new red stator for the 75 h mariner must you change the voltage regulator as well
