Yamaha 6Y8 command link

Im purchasing a Yamaha 6Y8 command link tacometer for my 2021 90hp Vmax.

Is there a way to match the hours on the motor to the hour meter on the gauge?

The 6Y8 gauge is going to be displaying engine ECU hours.

So it will be displaying the hours on the engine correctly then? I have roughly 400 hours give or take, so once inatalled the display should match?

As long as the ECU has never been replaced, yes.
