I have a 70's Johnson 15hp. Is it okay yo use the better XS100 oil for the oil mix? I ran a tank through and it had no smoke and not a hint of fouling. But... now it has occured to me perhaps for reasons I don't understand it might not be a good idea?? Anybody know?

Best protection for your motor but not the most cost effective. Its a superior synthetic oil designed for etec motors like mine.My 2011 60hp uses so little oil i can justify the price easily.

If you want to save a couple of bucks, try XD 50 next time. The same smokeless operation at much cheaper price.
