wrapping o b motor for winter

I have a 40 hp honda 4 stroke on my pontoon will it hurt anything to wrap motor in plastic as to keep the snow off in winter ? trying to keep finish as new looking as possable Thanks

I have used heavy trash bags to wrap mine with....never caused any problems.

We don't have to wrap our motors here in Florida, but one or two dryer sheets will keep the critters out.
