World War Vehicle Convoy

[SS MAYFLOAT]

Yesterday, I got to see the 80 some war vehicles from yesteryear travel in front of my shop. They left Washington DC to hook up with the old Lincoln Highway. They are taking the convoy all the way to California on it. They expect to reach their destination on July 8th. Check with your local radio station as that is how I found out about it.

I think we ran past them on the beltway around here (DC) over the past weekend, the kids were wondering what was going on. They had a police escort with lights rolling.

I think thats is a great thing to see. Have you noticed other countries like to have parades that show there military might, but here in the US, we don't. The greatest country of all and humble too!!!!!!!!

Re: World War Vehicle Convoy

Oh I feel their pain!!! Convoys are the most boring if you are a driver and the biggest nightmare if you are a mechanic!! The longest convoy run I have done was from Ft Drum, NY to Ft Belvoir, VA...... flashbacks

I wish all involved the best of luck.
